This is my first post and Iโm so excited about starting this blog. Finally! It has been years in the making and has changed so many times. The cool thing about that is I can look back and see, if I really had to define the precise moment in time this blog became a concept in my mind, that would be as a young child.
The two things about me that have been a part of my nature are that I love books, and I love to write. My love of reading is unlimited. If something is in front of my face, with words, I must read them. Why? Because I truly took it to heart when I heard, for the first time, the phrase โLearn something new every day.โ
My love of reading has been there for as long as I can remember, even before I learned to read. In case youโre wondering, the first book I memorized was โHansel and Gretel.โ I even knew which word I needed to turn the page after! I told everyone who would listen that I knew how to read because I thought that was what I was doing.
A few years later, I learned how to read, and my love of books grew. My love of reading grew. At a very young age, I read everything I could get my hands on. Books, the newspaper, magazines, encyclopedias, if it had words I read it.
I was a kid who loved book reports and the college student who loved giant research papers. I get to read, learn something new, and WRITE! Thatโs what I love to do!
Give me a topic to research and Iโll have all the major factors to consider as fast as I can.
Give me a great book to read that will inspire me to think about the bigger questions in life and you wonโt see me until I hit the back cover. If someone needs to find me, I will be in one of two places. Either curled up on the couch, under a blanket, with a drink and a snack. Or Iโm in the bathtub reheating the water because the story is too good to stop reading and the water keeps getting cold, until I look like a raisin. Either way, I am so relaxed and at peace. Reading is my all-time favorite hobby!
From the time I learned to read I was inspired by so many great authors and different philosophies. When I dreamed of what I wanted to be when I grew up, I dreamed of being a writer. As I got older, I not only chose how I wanted to piece my name together. While I dreamed about signing my own book covers one day, I practiced my autograph. While I wrote those essays and reports and while I was writing in my diary, I dreamed about one day publishing something.
I have no idea where this blog will go, if it goes anywhere. I do know I have a lot to learn about this entire thing. At times, I have been incredibly overwhelmed with everything I have to learn. At other times, I have had problems with trying to get my website built because Iโm learning as I go.
Here I go, taking a giant leap of faithโฆ.
My name is M.D. Nemi and I want to welcome you to my website! I hope you join along with me on this adventure!
